Del Sols - Are OBD2 and OBD1 connector pin outs different?
Hey guys I'm planning on getting a 92 sol which I believe would be OBD1 here is where it may get tricky...
The question is if anybody knows if the cabin harness in an OBD1 / OBD2 car is the same?
I own a 97 sol which is OBD2 and i have done some relocating (dont know if you would call it a tuck) of various wiring / Items
So in this image the following is in the trunk
fuse boxes
washer bottle / pump
coolant overflow
battery obvious :p

Are the pins where the engine harness plugs into (located beside the shock towers) the same across the OBD platforms? If any sol pro's out there know about this let me know
because if so i would like to transfer my cabin harness across to the OBD1 sol
I know for the ECU plugs will be different so thats where the OBD2 to OBD1 ECU conversion harness comes into play.
And as for the engine harness I will just use the OBD1 harness

For Civics, there are connector pin out differences even within the same OBD platform. The point being that you should expect differences, likely major, between OBD1 and OBD2 Del Sols.
Google and download the 93 and 97 Del Sol electrical manuals to find the specific differences.

How about this idea (which I prefer more)
Swap all OBD2 wiring \ Engine into the OBD1 Car
Get a key cut that fits the OBD1 locks \ Ignition barrel BUT have the key store the code of the OBD2 ECU since it has the factory immobilizer?
Is this possible?
