i got it to run now. it runs like nothing happened. should i still change the plugs and oil and what not?

what should i do now?

Did you have a water bypass valve and still got hydrolock or did you just have the barebones intake?

 

i beleive as long as it runs, its fine. you might want to change out the plugs and stuff.. get the valves and everything checked out to be 100% sure.

 

do the basic stuff, Oil, oil filter, Ck the Air filter, ck the valves,change the spark plugs and see if the TB got mucked up.

Seeing how you took the right reactions when you hit the last puddle Hopefully everything should be ok.

thanks. this was on a regular intake with a Injen extension.

i replaced the plugs already, and will change the oil when i get the chance. the car is running fine now.

if by any chance could i have broken something, when though the car is running ok? im scared i might have cracked a rod or something. should i take my oil pan out and check?

I didn't read the linked thread but...

if you haven't checked the oil, do so now. If it has water in it, CHANGE it now, regardless of whether or not the car currently runs.

 

Just out of curosity, what would water in the oil do? Could it rust the cylinder walls?

 

How well would you think watery oil would lubricate a motor?

 

changing it tomorrow morning, as well as a compression test.. hope the weather cooperates.
