Default cant get freelog to work

I set up my Ostrich and Hulog yesterday. I'm using Crome Free and Freelog on a P28 ECU. J12 is cut. I don't have a wideband yet so Im not making any changes to the basemap just looking around the programs.

When I run Freelog it just gives random numbers for everything and I have no idea what to do with it

Any help>?

Is your ECU modded for full duplex communication? Pretty sure you'll need to do this for it to work proper if you haven't.

this is the kit I used to chip it.

ECU Chipping Kit - Phearable.net

I did cut J12 which should have made it full duplex.

Maybe I have the data logging header in backwards?

It's possible, the headers orientation itself shouldn't matter, what matters is that whatevers plugged into it (hulog?) Is connected properly. I've never used a hulog, just a datalogging cable I made myself with an ftdI chip and stuff..

Have you tried connecting with crome? I haven't used crome in a while but the free version should have logging too? It was crome qd2 for free and qd3 for pro I believe, protocol-wise.

You should consider eCtune, pm me if you want to.

The Hulog seems to connect fine to the pc. Crome free doesn't have data logging. I tried downloading eCtune but every time I try to run it it says unable to find native library
