93 Civic 1.5 stalls, won't start, no code on CEL (Solved)
Hi guys
I have a problem and I'm crazy
Civic LX 1.5 D15B7 1993 A/T
Engine starts fine, well done...
After around 5-20 min it dies and Check light stays on. After this stalling, turn key, crank but won't start. CEL stays ON and on and theres no sound of the fuel pump starting.
If you try to start around 3min later, start fine again and dies after 5-15 min. While engine is running nothing anormal occurred. Runs very well.
I made jump wire and CEL show no blinks.
Replaced: fuel pump, main relay, fuel filter, tdc/crk/cyl sensor
Inspected: pressure regulator ok, grounds ok, ignition switch ok
Noticed the tailpipe release a anormal smell (like rust) and many water
Thats all
Regards

The ECU came from repair and seems like Civic no stalling anymore. But still won't start sometimes. CEL stays on after 2 seconds and no blinks any code. :-(
The CEL staying on and pump not priming means either main relay is bad or the ECU. Even though it is new, it wouldn't hurt to resolder your main relay. Or resolder the old one and put it back in the car. If the problem continues, consult with your ECU guy again or buy another one.

I think there is still a problem in the ECU. Not as bad as before, but still there. You've spent enough on other unnecessary parts to buy a used ECU and replace the whole unit. ECU's seldom go bad, but when they do it is often exactly what you describe with the intermittent slow or no "boot up".

Hi guys, I think I can reply you since I've been testin a known-good ECU. Now, Civic starts ok all attempts and won't stall anymore.
I apreciate your help. Thanks a lot
