Hey I have a 93 del Sol with the 1.5 sohc and sometimes it won't start. It will crank over and run for about two seconds then die and not start. Ive cleaned the points and rotor on the distributor butit doesn't seem to have worked. Any help would be great.

 

Last full ignition system tune up?

CEL codes?

Fuel pump primes?

Bright white spark at the plugs?

Mechanical timing good?

 

Only had the car for a few months so I don't know when the last ignition tune up was havent checked spark or fuel and there is no codes being thrown

 

Listen for fuel pump priming for 2 seconds when key is turned from OFF to ON(II).

Pull the CEL codes (see Codes sticky)

After no-start is solved, replace plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.

 

If the fuel pump doesnt prime or it will intermittently, replace your main relay.
