I'm trying to take out my driver side axle, i got the spindle nut out already but I cant remove the lower ball joint.

I cant for the life of me pop it out, will unbolting the hub from the strut work as an alternative? I know one of those bolts is the camber bolt so i might need alignment.

 

Yes. I did this job last week actually. Unbolt the hub from the strut and you'll just have to use a little muscle to push the hub down and to the side to get the old axle out and the new one in. Make sure that you disconnect your brake line from all the mounts so you have room to move the hub.

 

I typically pop the two bolts holding the lower A-arm in place, pull the axle, and then put it back.
