Default 92 Civic Si Hatch won't start

Recently bought a 92 Si hatch and now its having trouble starting. The car cranks but won't start. I put in a rebuilt main relay from a friend of mine so that shouldn't be the problem. Could it be the ECU? if so how would I test that? Any help would be appreciated.

-Thanks

Did you check for: Spark? Fuel? Mechanical timing?

Spark is good. Timing should be good as well, the car was running great last night. When I turn the key to the "on" position I can hear the main relay click but I'm struggling to hear any buzz from the fuel pump. If I put my ear to the fuel rails I can hear a buzz so light I almost think its my mind playing tricks on me.

I'd make sure you're getting fuel at the rail. You can disconnect the 22/24mm nut at the rail, but that'll only prove that fuel is getting to the rail and not through the injectors.

Next step is to do a compression test.

After some closer inspection I'm not getting any sort of buzz from the back seat area where the fuel pump is at. I've heard there are multiple ways of testing the fuel pump. Which would you recommend?

I'd jump the pump directly to make sure that it is working.

Are you sure there is spark at the plugs?

Did you check fuses 31 and 24?

This is done by jumping unplugged main relay connector pins 1-7 or 5-7.

Found the problem. There was a rats nest of poorly done wires by the previous owner. It caused a short to the fuel pump so it wasn't receiving power. Thanks for the help!
