Power Windows won't work... Weather related?
Hello everyone,
I have a Honda Civic 2008 1.8i-VTEC sport, which I bought second hand. Been very happy with the car, but during this last winter I noticed that windows wouldn't work at all, mainly first thing in the morning, so I assumed it was related to the cold.
I asked a Honda garage what it was, assuming it was a fuse or something. But they said they couldn't find a problem, and said it might be the window switch in the door. However, as soon as weather started getting better, the windows have been working fine...but while washing the car, I noticed that the windows wouldn't work after having put water on the car with the high pressure water pump. So obviously water has something to do with it. I checked the fuse box under the hood, and it was dry, but could some water be getting between the windows and causing a short? How do I fix this, new window seals? Could it be something else?
Any advise would be very very much appreciated.
