Default 8-injectors... 1 rail or two?

I'm currently on 4 2000cc injectors, 4303 fuel pump, and a 22v boostapump, and out of fuel.

Looking to go 8 injectors...either purchase another set of 2000s, or sell my current set, and buy 8 1700s.

Are people running the injectors side by side on one rail, or dual rail? If 1 rail, is there any issues running one set of injectors at idle/cruise, obviously shooting the spray pattern down only one side of the intake port, until the second set kicks in under boost?

i know alot of pro jay intakes have all 8 side by side. you would need a ecu that has a option to control the injectors like you described. ive seen alot of guys going 8 2000s. if you lke your current intake you could always add another set of injector boss's above the current set and a fuel rail mount area as well.

I would go two rails. I would think side by side injectors would spray fuel directly on the sides of the port causes poor atomization.

I tuned did Brian Kilby's car on 8 injectors on S300.

I have had 8 on 1 rail and 2 rails. I never seen a difference. I know 1 rail is alot cleaner looking and less lines/fittings..

Thanks for your input. I'd prefer 1 rail just for the cleanliness.

How important is plenum volume, and how much does it affect top end?

My SMIM is currently ~3L, so a little on the smaller side. Wondering what gains there are to be had with a 5-6L plenum (2.4l motor)?

I've found that it doesn't really matter much. Fuel in the hole is gonna burn regardless. Fuel film is really only an issue at startup and cold engine temps.
