Default Need an answer about Base to SH swap

I really hope someone can answer me about whether a base engine/tranny/transaxles will mate up with the SH suspension/hubs. I did numerous searches but no one can come forward and say that they have actually done it or whether it will DEFINITELY work!

thanks.

Don't waste your money. If you want great handling get a TEIN setup and an LSD. You will be able to pull corners better than any SH.

come on now...this is not that complicated!! I got an sh on a good deal from a dealer. My integra was stolen prior to that. I'm planning a rebuild on an H22 and the sh wont handle the high boost without ATTS going ballistic.

So, I'll be taking the engine out anyway! Why not build up a base engine and put a quaife in the base tranny and then when I'm done swap it into my SH car???

So, All I really need to know (not that I don't value all your other responses) is whether I can expect the base engine/tranny to bolt up nicely to the SH suspension.

One of the reasons no one recommends this is the way the chassis is setup. The suspensions in front are NOT the same and are NOT interchangable without a lot of work. It may be possible-if you have the resources to remove only the ATTS, rewire everything-including the computers, and then you would still have the SH front suspension components to deal with. I am simply saying that machine shop time is very expensive as is having a pro redo the chassis.

but wait, what is so different about the chassis/suspension that doesn't allow the base tranny/transaxles to go into the hubs?
