1992 Honda Accord DX NO START HELP!!!
Alright guys, Im starting to feel hopeless. I just bought this 92 Accord Dx and it ran fine when i first got it. I had a 4 hr drive home after my purchase. Everything was fine. A couple hrs into my trip my RPM guage drops to 0 and my car stalls
. I tried cranking it and it turns over as if its about to start right up and doesnt
. Can someone please tell me what this could be? I checked my timing belt and it seems fine it turns when cranking. I removed the Dist. Cap and noticed the rotor wont spin when cranking. Can someone please help me solve my problem before i blow a head gasket.
Also i dont get the check engine light. It cuts off as it should.

If your rotor in you dizzy is not moving then ya probably need a new one. Remove the 3 12mm bolts and inspect it.
Also double check your timing belt.
Your camshaft turns your distributor.

It moves but it only does it when i have the dissy removed. I double checked the belt. The timing marks line up and the belt is super tight. I tried removing the rotor but no luck. Its stuck. What would cause the rotor not to spin? My cams rotate and everything. I noticed that when we rotated it my hand. But when it comes to cranking it doesnt move the rotor. The crank is strong as if it just needs a lil bit more juice to get going.
I notice the cam shaft moving the first cylinder and a couple others. Im gonna have someone crank it again and take another look. Is the camshaft hard to replace? and how much would it cost?
You can rotate your crank and look at the camshaft end and see if it spinning or Take your valve cover off and inspect your camshaft. It probably snapped.
Not much to replace, but hopefully it didnt cause any more damage internally.
