Check whether fuel pump primes and for spark at the plugs.

Does the CEL turn on with key in ON(II)?

What cluster lights turn off when key is held in START?

Cracked the bolt on the fuel filter on the outlet side and there was fuel so I guess that spark is the issue...

No check engine light, and all the lights go off except for the battery light. Should I be able to hear the fuel pump prime like I do on newer vehicles? When I turn the key from the office edition to the on position there is no sound At all.

You should the fuel pump buzz for 2 seconds when you turn key from OFF to ON(II). Listen carefully.

Are you saying the CEL never turns on? If so, somebody may have removed the bulb in the cluster. Check that.

The check engine light does come on, but only when I first turn the key on. It just comes on to show that the bulb is working but not that there's anything wrong. No flashing or anything like that. There's no hum at all so I'm assuming that the fuel pump is to blame? Is that a drop the tank replacement, or is there an access panel under the rear seats to get to it? Is there a preferred time to go with, or should I just go with the one from AutoZone for $120 with a lifetime warranty?

Turn key from OFF to ON(II).

Does CEL remain on steady or does it turn off after 2 seconds?

Are you sure now that the fuel pump does not prime?

I don't hear a peep from the fuel pump, and less it's super super quiet. I know what it supposed to sound like a newer cars but I haven't heard it in this one really but then again I've only owned it for a few days and only started it a few times.

As far as the check engine light, it goes off after two seconds.

If you need to verify, remove your gas cap and put your ear to the hole. Then have a buddy turn key to ON(II). You should easily hear the buzz of the fuel pump priming for 2 seconds.

If you are sure the pump is not priming, remove rear seat and cover for fuel pump.

Use a multimeter to check whether the unplugged pump connector gets voltage and has good ground.

I do not see the tack move, you need to check the ICM, [igniter] this assumes the engine is turning over, [starter motor working], I can't hear it on the vid. 94

The motor is turning over. I had this issue yesterday and my wife was cranking it while I was under the hood and I removed the oil cap and I could see the valves moving.

No sound from the fuel hole when starting. Was able to get someone to crank it for me.

Yes, but I covered the dizzy with a plastic bag like I have since I first started washing engine bays 25 years ago. No water got on or in it and when I disassembled it everything was clean and dry.

in that case, keep diagnosing the fuel (main relay) issue

Yeah, make sure its not working. Like Ron said. take seat out and check for power before moving on. (While seat is out its also louder, so you might hear it then, tho I'm sure you are right on no sound.)

And like EG said, if its not getting power, then you need a new main relay or resolder it. They we'rnt made very well, and the solders were cold often. I had to do dads once, so I did mine ahead of time.. Tho. I think we got pump power iirc, just not dizzy.. (BUT, checking for power AT THE PUMP FIRST, will tell you more!)

Engine washing? Water down in the plugs?

Try pulling a plug out, put it back into the wire, touch it to the motor (ground) and have someone crank your car to see if your getting spark.

DO NOT TOUCH IT TO THE MOTOR TO SEE IF YOU HAVE SPARK!

It can fry the Igniter. You can check it with a spark tester you can rent tho (or buy cheap at HF)

Ron has the guidance he needs to follow for now.

I'm pretty sure he's recently said the same as I, but he can speak for himself.

I was also referring to the FUEL PUMP status, not the spark one.

Don't confuse the OP, he's on track with Ron, in otherwords.
