Default Will manual D15B7 drop right into an automatic 92 civic?

Quick question, will a d15b7 from an OBD1 manual civic drop right in and wire up in my 92 automatic civic?

I've heard rumors of slight differences in a few plugs on the intake manifold. I can swap intake mani's from my auto block if I have to, but I'd rather not if I don't have to.

Wait, what? I'm putting a long block from a manual OBD1 civic, into my 92 civic which is automatic and staying automatic. Why would I need to change ECU's?

Well, what engine and ECU are currently in the 92 Civic?

if you currently have a d15b7 in your car this is a direct engine replacement. take old one out place new engine in.

Yes

There are no differences between a D15B7 from a manual or an automatic. However '92 - '93 D15B7s have a different throttle body than '94 - '95 D15B7s. The engine harness is even the same between the automatic and manual but again differs between '92 - '93 and '94 - '95.

This is not 100% accurate, the FITV valves are different between the Auto D15B7 and the Manual D15B7. The rest of the main engine sensors have the same parts numbers.

The only other part I would double check is the O2 sensor but I believe both still use the same 4 wire O2 sensor (2 wire w/ 2 wire heater).

The cold idle won't be the same if you put the manual D15B7 mated up to the automatic transmission. I suspect it's for the weight difference between a flywheel and a fluid filled torque converter, need a higher idle for the heavier torque converter.

Check that the crank pulleys are the same p\n too. These are different on some Civic obd1 motors auto vs. man but not all.
