So i was basically fed up with buying coilovers looking for the best possible handling for the track. I had the Godspeeds Mono Max which weren't bad but left a lot to be desired. You have to understand that you can't expect these 1k coilovers to be valved correctly or of the greatest quality.
So I contacted Chris at Redshift Motorsports and we started chatting about setups. I will say this talking to Chris brought me back some good memories from back in the day how people would really love helping others. I've must spoke to Chris a few times and on some occasions it went over the hour mark lol.
I finally decided to pull the trigger on the coilover kit after being reassured by Chris. I will also say that one of my closest racing buddy's was pushing me to go with this kit for most of the winter and he did pay a huge part in me pulling the trigger.
So I ended up getting the coilover kit with the Koni Yellows and Eibach race spring (8k FR - 11K RR). I also got the ASR camber top plates with it too.
I also changed my balljoints and got Moog Greasable Balljoints. If you do a lot of track days the ball joints will get really hot and the grease will move around a lot. We usually just double check by adding a little grease each time we go to the track.
I also will recommend getting the Ultimate Racing roll center adjusters. This will give you back some proper feed back when being too low. It helps to correct the ball joint angle.
As for my alignment setup this is what I'm running:
Front: -3.2 camber - 0 toe
Rear:-2.5 camber - 0.1 toe
Dampers: Full Stiff for now but will be full stiff for Track only. Will go half way in the front and 3/4 of the way in the rear.
FYI you can go pretty low (nearly 2.3" as I tested it) with this setup but I was a little more conservative this time probably have a 1.5" drop in the front and 1.0" drop in the rear.
Tires: 225-45-17 Hankook RS3 V2s
My initials thoughts on the setup is I'm going to be very fast this year. Just put putting around the city the difference is huge. You really see why Koni's are one of the best shocks on the market they just work. Chris and my buddy Andrew were both right Koni valves their shocks correctly not only is it stiff but it's comfortable too. You feel the suspension working for you in a one movement type deal.
If you are looking for the top package and have some money to throw around do yourself the favour and get this package! Btw this isn't only for 8th gens but this works on the 9th gens also. Trust me I will never go back to cheap chinese/taiwanese coilovers. Also the Koni's can be revalved for Race and also dual adjustments.
So on with the pictures:
PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO USE ANTISEIZE WHENEVER POSSIBLE IT WILL MAKE LIFE EASIER FOR YOU IN THE LONG RUN... sorry for caps but just can't stress that enough.
Honestly it's an amazing setup and the handling is honestly on point. I'm really looking forward to hitting the track with this setup. I should be for sure faster then last year.
aaah, the tried-and-true set up of koni and GC. Thats my next suspension move when i get all the other stuff worked out. Already got the Konis, just need the rest. Chris is awesome. I emailed him a few times and hes always been responsive.
was this the setup that has the updated rear spring seats that prevents spring movement?

Yes this is one with the updated rear spring seat. Also this is new ASR V2 Top Camber Plate.
Chris is awesome we talk to each other often. He is an awesome guy and full of knowledge he knows what he is talking about.
Btw the setup is awesome I will be ripping the track very soon just waiting for my Hawk DTC-30 to come in and I'm set!
Hi DaveSi677, I recently bought ASR v2 camber plates, and trying to install them on my kwv1.
I was wondering which plate belongs to which side.
The first picture you took, is that the final build up?
Do the arrows of middle part aim inside or outside?
If you can provide a picture of the upper top part after installation that will be very helpful.
Thanks for your help.

The arrows are suppose to point towards to the inside on both sides.
