Currently:

Koyo 1570R half/sized dual V-Core
SPAL 13" 1800cfm fan puller fan
40Amp fuse
No shroud / custom bracket mount

Future :

Doug Miller custom radiator 3/4 size
Twin SPAL 13" fans
Aux power connector for secondary fan shroud system for in between sessions at cool down.

Fluids:

Toyota Pink 50/50 mix - 70%
ICE Purple water wetter - 30%

Never went above 198F* ... EVER , even after 20 min sessions.. But it would get close.

Mine.

Triple core eBay special civic radiator.
eBay shroud and 12" fan.
Mishimoto 1.3 bar cap.
80/20 water/coolant mixture with water wetter.
Silicone hoses, etc etc.

Very rarely ever sees above a 200 degree water or oil temp.

OP what chassis, engine and setup are you currently running? Thought of a Scirroco or tucked radiator from Rywire or Speedfactory?

98 civic 2dr coupe, built GSR motor with blockguard / type R head @410HP 17PSI
ram horn go auto kit a/c friendly which was stupid should have gotten the non ac kit

Havent looked much into those, ill look now. Honestly at this point im looking twards triple row units, even if the third row gets heatsoaked it still allows for more coolant in the system.

Right now im between an EBAY CXRACING or a mishimoto not sure the mishimoto is actually anything more then a re branded chinese RAD but from pics ive seen they do look like a bit more quality piece never seen one first hand.

Plan on using spal pusher fan rated at 1360 CFM

Dont get mishimoto or CX racing. I had the 3 row CX racing and the car would overheat with the quickness. Dont know why but it was definitely the radiator. My Mishimoto 3 row is "Ok". I would go Koyo next time around.

'98 Integra front bumper w/ Full-Race 11" backdoor intercooler
PWR Civic radiator
Mishimoto shroud and 12"? fan
Spoon 160 F thermostat
S300 fan on when ECT > 175 and up to max speed (155mph? Off the top of my head)
P72 22T water pump
I'm pretty close to 50/50 coolant mix because I forgot to dilute and add water wetter but it doesn't seem picky at all. We'll see once it gets on a road course.

The only thing special about my cooling system is that I have to leave the fan on even while on the highway because the intercooler blocks the air dam and the fan never hits stall speed.

Volkswagon Scirocco Radiator tucked into the radiator support is going to be your best bet. Radiators are affordable, dual pass so they cool more efficiently and saves a but load of space under the hood. If waste gate comes off the front of the manifold you'll need an elbow to angle it down so you don't hit the radiator. This radiator setup accomplishes blocking off that dead space also. Do not use an inline filler though. Get a coolant neck with the rad cap on it. Any fab shop can make you one i think SF sells them or i can fab you one if you go this route. I use a single 12" spal fan no shroud and the car runs very cool. Never sees over 205 making a pass and temps drop right down after the pass. When i street drove this setup it stays 185-190

I use skunk2 dual core rad with stock fan, but i changed the fan settings so that it comes on at 185 rather than 195, and even after very spirited runs for like 30 minutes it never went above 200. Mind you this was in the evening when it was cooler and not burning hot mid day. I also wrapped downpipe and manifold.

So far with my street car in Texas heat. Oem fan oem Dual core DELSOL radiator. Stays 185-188 highway driving and regulates 182-196 in traffic. Never gets to 200 even with spirited driving and I don't have air flow even diverted to the radiator.

What's your street car setup? I'm familiar with your drag car, but just curious about your street car.

Hi Mac,

can you point me to the direction in buying the span fan that you use please. I have the koyo rad you recommended. My email address is sdbee84@hotmail.com if you sell it them too.

Thanks

I have plans to do the same, sticking with the oem parts. I just found out that del sols vtec, and I think the EM1, had dual core radiators.

unless you find a second hand one in GREAT condition considering that the car came out about 20 years ago. why would you do this they are $325 plus shipping from majestic honda you could get a aftermarket all alluminum for much cheaper
