Default 94 civic dx - CEL and Loss of power?!

So I just recently got a 1994 civic coupe dx and it's been acting funny. When I'm crushing in any gear at a certain speed the car just loses power and seems to bog down a bit. I have to put the pedal to the floor to get it to go again. It's also been revving up and down when I come to a stop. The guy I bought it from said he replaced the tps. Could it be that it wasn't adjusted right or something else? I replaced the iacv and had the coolant flushed but that did nothing. I just don't want to keep spending money on parts that aren't going to fix it. Any advice would be helpful.

It's on. But the guy I got it from said that it has an auto ecu in it that is throwing a code because it's a manual.

would have to properly adjust the tps forsure, throw a jumper and check the cel though, might have another code other than the auto tranny one

Well I had my mechanic let me borrow an extra ecu for a manual and it hasn't been losing power or idling up and down so far today. Hopefully that's all it is. And the cel light went away.

Where can I find a new PO6 ecu? Or can you even buy a new ecu or only used ones?

Did you look in the FS/WTB sticky or the Marketplace?

Also scout eBay.

New;

Honda online parts store. I don't know if they still make a P06, but ECUs are very pricey new.

Used;

Craigslist.

Junkyard.

Facebook.

Your current auto P06 ECU can be converted to manual.

Did you ever pull the CEL codes?

RonJ's suggestion of the Marketplace was good.

hondur has two P06 ECUs available. Note: I'm not endorsing hondur as a good, or bad, seller just point out that he has some for sale.

Reset the ECU to see whether all the codes repeat (aside from code 19) after driving the car.
