Hi, I'm new to tuning... but is there any CARB E.O. Legal Air Intake for a 1995 Honda Del Sol Vtec B16A3? I live in California and would like to get one... all i found is that it only approved for the Si and S model only. Non for the Vtec model (Dohc Vtec). All help will be glady appreciated. It won't work.. my friend got a fine for using one. That's why i wanted to know if there's an alternative aftermarket air intake. Also i've been trying to contact AEM for an application but no reply through email or super long wait by phone.

The AEM intake for the 99-00 Si is 50 state legal, meaning C.A.R.B., so it should pass California emissions.

Is it the application then that won't work? 99-00 Si intake in a 95 Del Sol chassis?

I think he means the refs wont let you use a intake made for a 99 civic si on any other car besides that.

If this is the case just use a k&n drop in filter.

Yea a 99-00 Air intake won't be legal for a 94-95Del sol. My friend had a ticket from it.

 

Damn... guess I'll be using a stock air intake. :-(

Why dont you just use a stock one and then after you get inspection stick the aftermarket one?

 

In California they won't even pass you visually.

Anyhow after a long research i finally found an AEM Cold Air intake for all 93-95 Dohc Vtec model. The number of anyone needs in future are (AEM 21-411 {R,B,or S} which the letters indicate Red, Blue, or Silver).
