EK AUTO TO MANUAL - no crank wiring issues
I have a 97 civic, just did put a b20 in it and did the auto to manual swap as well. I pulled the center console out and wrapped the 2 Fat black wires along with the smaller black/blue wire together but my Cluster reads that the car is in DRIVE. I put the black/grey wire with the other 3 and got my Cluster to read that the car is in P but it is also saying it's in D still. I put the key in and can here the fuel pump prime like it is supposed to buthe when I turn it all the way over it doesn't crank at all. I just replaced my starter bcuz the other one was grounding out. I have 1 ground wire to the front driver side of the car and the other to the bracket towards the front of the transmission. Can someone plz help me I've tried every combo with the wires under the center console, I've tried wiring up a safety switch to the 2 fat black wires and I've tried it without, I've tried putting in the white shifter piece in and sliding it to park but it still says the car is in P and D at the same time.
check the link in my sig, it was made for a 5th gen, but should apply to a 6th gen wiring as well.
ADDENDUM: Based on some pics from ebay auctions, it looks like the wire you need to ground out for "PARK" to be selected is GRN/WHT and is directly next to the larger BLK/RED wire (which also matches my wiring guide).
