1991 accord: oil in spark plugs.
The problem is lots of oil in my spark plugs. This happened a while ago and I followed a tutorial by Eric the car guy on YouTube. I changed the valve cover gasket but also took apart the assembly and switched out all gaskets. The problem ended up coming back so I took it to a mechanic because I figured I did it wrong.
Now, it happened again. The outer spark plugs seem fine. The inner two are drowning in oil. No joke. When I pull the plugs out, oil comes pouring out. Should I change all the gaskets again? Or is there another issue we are missing? I would think something else is wrong because the problem keeps arising.
Also, if there is a bunch of oil down where the spark plugs are... How do you clean the oil out?

I usually use paper towels to soak up oil in there.
Between the o-rings underneath the rocker arm assembly and the o-rings in the valve cover itself, that should keep the oil out.

I just want to be sure, you replaced the valve cover spark plug seals AND the lower tube seals as well by removing the rocker arm assembly ? Those are 8 seals total(4 + 4).
Yep, replaced all 8 seals. As well as the huge valve cover gasket. I assume the shop did the same thing when I brought it to them. I'm taking it apart again this weekend so I'll be able hopefully notice if anything is obvious.
Also paper towels is a good idea to soak up oil.

One time I replace the gasket and seals and I was a little careless and did not seat the top of one seal properly. The tube filled with oil. I took it apart and the seal was slightly crushed, not bad, but enough. If the tube fills with oil it has to be the seals.

I have a 92 accord and replaced the gasket about a month ago. It came with the valve cover gasket,4 gaskets for the bolts,4 gaskets for the plugs and had 4 what i call o rings if i am not mistaken. I did not use this should i and where
If you had oil in your spark plugs I would go ahead and do it. The o rings are under the whole rocker arm assembly. It's pretty easy to do.
Either the gaskets are cheap quality, the gaskets are somehow the wrong ones for your car, or they are simply not seated properly. You also needs to torque the nuts going from inside to the outside ones. Using a rubber mallet to tap it from the inside out helps a little too, before you torque.
The reason is that the rubber donuts eventually get old and stop sealing, letting oil seep into the plug holes and puddles there. It's cure is replacement of all valve cover gaskets at the same time. It can be done by one who has done more than just oil change.
So I fixed all the leaks and put new spark plugs in as well as spark plug wires. Now the dang thing won't start. I did change the oil too and accidentally put in 5 quarts. Could a little too much oil prevent the car from starting?
Also, my spark plug gaps are .044.
I have a battery light and oil light on in my car. I don't think it's the battery, I tried jumping it. But electronics work in the car. And I was hesitant that too much oil would prevent it from starting.
Anybody have any idea what could be the problem?
And for some reason the power steering fluid was leaking out the reservoir. It's weird because I didn't touch the fluid levels at all and have never had this problem.
Ugh, I just want the car to start again.
