Default Type R Valve Cover question

Anyone seen anything like this out there in their experiences? Trying to determine if it is legit or a fake before I consider bidding on it as I know there are quite a few replicas floating around out there.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

You're assuming there was actually a "legit" valve cover that had a "Type R" logo on it? lol.

That cover screams OBX-R, Pilot or any of the other ricer crap that was made about 10 years ago.

It's legit OBX or some other knock-off brand. Nothing "real" or Type R about it. It's basically a knock-off version of the Mugen cover but only loosely resembles the design.

It is actually a "Tenzo R" product. Many years ago, that company (Tenzo Racing Sports) produced a "Mugen" clone and the "Type R" moniker valve covers. They are NOT a genuine Honda/Acura product.

Isn't/Wasn't Tenzo, OBX and Pilot all the same parent company?

Regardless, their products were crap. That valve cover screams swapped hatchcrap with a poor tuck job.

Isn't JASMA a certified program similar to CARB?

I do have a OBX cat back that fits decent. Never bought anything else though.
