Icon6 My new 07 Si - Upgrade options?

I'm not new to the forums but new to this section. So I got a 07 si. I sold my 95 integera, which was beat to sh*t. Now I want to do some modifications to my si. What are some things I can do to it performance and look wise that won't break my wallet?

If your wallet is $4,000 you can supercharge it to 300whp.

Hondata Flashpro is the best $600 you can spend on the 8th gen Si.

I would stick to genuine accessories nice 18" HFP wheels, if possible HFP suspension and nice chrome HFP sports muffler. If you could find the original body kit that would be plus. But do it one piece at a time to be in budget. Hope this help.

Alright thanks. Flashpro for 600? When I looked they were around 800. Also does a flashpro always have to be hooked up?

Nope, only when tuning or making changes to the calibration.

fixed for accuracy lol

and used flash pros go for $400-500, and a tune is like $200. Buy all at once so you're not spending money on tunes every 6 months.

You'll just have to look around for a used one to get one for that price. I found mine for $500 on Craigslist actually.

You can find flashpro easily for 550$ used... just make sure it's unlocked before purchasing it.

It will be the best $$$ you spend on the 8th Si trust me!

Replace all maintenance items before you purchase performance parts.

Suspension components, gaskets, ignition components, timing components, etc.

Bring the car back to its original glory, then modify it.

What gaskets? Seems like everything is fine right now. What are signs stuff needs to be replaced?

yes. It gets around 25mpg right now in town. Not sure about highway.

It has 145k miles.

I have a chance to buy a Hondata Flash Pro for $350 used. When/if I get it what would be the next step? Since I keep getting the Lean CEL.

If the engine isnt leaking anything, or has issues leave it alone. Just do spark plugs if you havent. If you get Flash pro there are some tuned calibrations that you can upload, but you need to know what your are doing, or take to someone that knows.
What brand is the CAI?

If the Flashpro is legit and properly unlocked then that is an incredible deal. Go buy it immediately!

Your next step is to contact someone like VitViper and have them etune your car properly.

The tunes that are available for free are all race tunes which are terrible cals for you car. They will cause issues with your fuel thank shrinking and causing evap issue also when you open your gas tank it will sound like a Pepsi can.

Getting a proper tune from VitViper will get you a Hybrid tune and that is what you want. You want to make power and the car running smooth speak to VitViper.

When I had my 07 Si, the best things I bought for the car were an exhaust, header, intake and flashpro. I'd honestly start there.

If it were my recommendation, I'd start in this order:
Intake
Exhaust
Header + Flashpro

Depending on which Intake you go with you will need Flashpro to make AFR adjustments due to running to lean!

I would do Flashpro first... its a night and day difference!
