94 civic sputters/hesitates during acceleration
Got a 94 civic, stock motor, d15b7, and it had this problem when I first got it, but it wasn't as that bad. I changed the fuel filter, and spark plugs, and it got a little worse. Some times it runs and drives perfectly fine, and other times its almost undrivable. But when you accelerate, it wants to bog down and sputter real bad until you get up high in rpms, I can't tell exactly what rpm because the cluster doesn't have a tach. And other times it just does it completely through every gear no matter how high the rpms.
I'm not sure what else to try. Any suggestions?

How's the distributor looking? Not sure if it applies here but a friend had the same problem with a b20. Some times it was good sometimes it was complete ****. We changed the rotor and dizzy cap and it was all good till the problem started like a day later. One day it just wouldnt even turn on and if it did it was spewing black smoke.
We went out and changed the dizzy and to this day the car runs mint. Not 100% sure how to test this on a honda

That was my next try. I just called and priced out new distributor cap, and rotor, and plug wires. If I can get to work to get my tools, I'm going to try and do all of that tomorrow.
But that's my only other guess as to what it could be. That or a clogged cat. I've been running premium, and using fuel system cleaner, and it's not helping at all either.
Again, not saying im a know it all but if the rotor and cap look to be in working condition then go deeper into the dizzy
A few years ago my car did the same thing. I borrowed a timing light and adjusted the engine so that the marks were in the right place and my car ran fine after.
