Looking to buy an Insight, but most of the dash lights are on. I can't remember all of them, but I believe ABS, Check engine, battery, VSA, ACC, oil and what not. Is that normal? Owner says after like 5 miles of driving it should go away. Is that true? He said he also just installed a new stereo unit. Thanks

 

I would be careful.

I have a 2011 Honda Insight EX (purchased new) and only had on light come on (the cold temperature one). No ABS, Check engine, batter, etc. Have 72k on my car.

It could be bad sensors or it could be a sign on a bad owner.

Does the owner have a service records to show you?

 

Probably cut into the can bus wiring. All those lights use the can bus for communication. I believe the stock stereo is also on the bus so this makes sense.
