Default Yes... Another start problem

95 civic. Would start then immediately shut down. Didn't hear pump priming up when I turned key and I replaced the main relay less than a year ago.
I put a new fuel pump and filter still same problem.
I randomly have power to pump. I jumped the 1-7 I think, in the relay and pump turns on. Then I jump the other two(I forgot which ones) and nothing happened. Both fuses are good. Sometimes the pump primes up no problem and starts fine but it's random.

Never realized until this post that diagnostics keep you physically fit.

Yes I did. 1 to 7 the pump turned on. 5 to 7 nothing. The fuses are good. Today went out to start, started just fine. Like I said its intermittent. Maybe a short somewhere but the wiring under dash is a rats nest from PO

Tried different fuse. No go.
I'm really at a lose with this thing. I got power at the pump when I turn the key to start. Should I have power when key is in the 2 position?
The ground at the pump is good to.

SolBlu's Helpful Del Sol Site
There is a diagnostic to check for that and just about everything here.

It actually links back to here.

Where? Link to the specific section that you think is relevant.

Also, a diagram for testing the ignition switch can be found in the FAQs sticky.
