What ECU should I run for my D15b P2A-4 head NON VTEC?
I have to be specific for others to understand my problem and hopefully find a solution and help others that might have same problem as me.
I have a 1997 Honda Civic DX 4door 5speed I purchased the car that came with a swap JDM D15B block, the head it's a P2A-4 98 Stamp in the right upper corner from my cylinder head. My cylinder head it's a NON VTEC. so I think since it's a P2A-4 Head non vtec, I think it's a JDM head that came with the JDM D15B block.. I'm not sure if it's a US version Head.. I can't find no info about the P2A-4 but either way that's the info for my head.
My Civic has the OBD2-A , all 1996 to 1998 comes with OBD2-A and for 1999 to 2000 it's OBD2-B, since my wire harness it's an OBD2-A, I'm using the Jumper harness from OBD2-A to OBD1, now I had the P06 ECU temporary and it was working fine but not for long.. so car was taking long to start right up until it can't start no more.. so I tried to use the P2E ECU with no jumper harness OBD1, only straight direct connection with my OBD2-A harness but no luck either.. starts right up but drops rpm quickly to complete shut down plus also it shows CEL/ Check Engine Light as well. so I used my buddy's P72 ECU mugen chipped 2step, for a second and it work's fine but I can feel the power it's a little off loosing power not running to its fully potential like it should but also the CEL/ Check Engine Light disappear when I installed the P72 ECU chipped.
So my buddy's he also has the JDM D15B but his block says ZC nothing else and his head it's a P2A-5 with 96 stamp corner so it's same block but his head it's more aggressive compare to my P2A-4 with 98 stamp cylinder head. He's using his P72 ECU Chipped but was saying to go P28 chipped since our heads are NON Vtec and I don't know if I should go P08 ECU..
The Virgin P08 is it Vtec ECU > ? or should I chipped the P08 so it can run the non vtec head that I have in my car..
Any help guys let me know.. what ECU should I run for my D15b P2A-4 head NON VTEC.. ?

Your "buddy" is stupid. Please stop taking advice (or parts) from him. A ZC block is not a D15B - those are two different motors - a P72 ECU is for a B18C1, and "mugen chipped" just means it has some **** basemap off eBay. The only thing he is remotely correct about is getting a socketted P28, and getting a basemap chip for it from a reputable company (translation: not some "mugen" eBay chip). You could use a P08 and have it socketted, but it doesn't matter - if VTEC isn't enabled in the chip you buy, then the ECU won't try to do anything with it anyway. If you want to use the correct ECU for your motor, then you want to source a PEJ ECU. They're apparently abundant as ****, and pretty reasonably priced, so that's the route I'd go if I were doing this.
