I am trying to get my JDM GSR b18C bar'd into my EK 1999.

- I Understand about having the engine newer or same year as my car
- understand that i need all emissions (ecu, intake/exh mani ect) from the USDM GSR 1999+

My question is... am i allowed to use 1998 usdm emission components to pass? From what I have researched there isn't a way to find out whether components is from either 98-01 that easily, so isn't it possible?

 

You will be fine using '98 emission components.

By emission components do you mean evap solenoid and evap canister?
If so yes.
And they are hard to distinguish. You will be fine!
