Default WTB Electrical help / Wiring Expert / $300

Hi I'm in Chicago. I need someone who knows their way around wiring and electrical issues, I can pay $300 cash for your time if you can get the car up and running. It has no mechanical issues. My Integra GSR was running great, I went out of town for 2 weeks and when I came back the car won't start. It won't even crank or turn on the headlights. I thought it was the battery, so I jumped it, and it started making clicking noises so i thought it could have been the starter, so i replaced the starter. It still won't turn on.

The car has half a tank of gas and plenty of oil. The previous owner did a wire tuck job and the wires on the wiring harness are all hidden so I'm almost positive that he did a bad job and there must be a ground loose somewhere, or a blown fuse. Thing is I can't even find the fuse box on this thing because of the tuck job!

I know my way around honda's been building them for years, but I don't know electrical. Would i be able to just buy a brand new wiring harness and remove all of the "tuck job" and replace with the new harness?

try a new battery first man. If the cells are dead in the battery it would cause all this crap out of no where.

Holy **** dude, if you're gonna pay that kind of money just take it to a reputable shop. Paying some random guy you found on the internet $300 to "fix" your car, especially in the Honda community, is downright stupid.

no idea why you wouldnt go to a shop first..but sounds like a battery issue..clean the terminals..make sure they arent loose...test the battery..if the battery is good id check your alternator next

Check your engine or transmission ground, a crappy connection can make it seem like an alternator or battery issue, I've already been through that before and its a head ache.
