Everything in the car works as it should from door locks windows go up and down mirrors can be adjusted. My issue is when I switch over on the mirror switch to the driver side to adjust the mirror angle towards left the door locks trigger and lock.
I want to mention the only part of the how to I did not follow was the wiring for the rear wiper since I deleted that option on my car. I have 2 floor harness both brand new I tried both same issue, I have doubles of the door harness that also did not fix the issue, I have multiple mirror switches also have the same result, I tried different fuse box under the dash also same issue. I tried a different master switch on the driver side that did not help.
I have not changed the dash harness I am kinda at a lost as to what I can do to correct this issue anybody know what might be the issue. If somebody ends up helping me resolve this issue I am willing to paypal for your help really want this issue resolved.
Re: Electrical issue after swapping over to power options
check all your grounds. my first guess is maybe the or connectors are mis-wired and or you got a short somewhere. the door locks trigger on ground so maybe the mirror motor is trying to ground itself though the door locks.

I have sanded to bare metal for all the floor harness grounds, are you suggesting another ground might be the issue?
I have the one by the driver seat contacting bare clean metal and the one under the dash on the other side of the fender touching bare clean metal. Suggestions are welcome.
I want to start fresh and disregard that thread since I have started over with a fresh floor harness matching the year of my car and have multiples on the cabin electrical components this time around.

What does this mean?
Floor harness is brand new from dealer 98 ex 2 door coupe purchased from Ryan from Autofair. Door harness I have two tried both from 96-98 ex coupe uncut other than the speaker wire plug but those are just taped off.
I have multiple harness for the doors all from the 96-98 range I have multiple switches for the mirror so basically I have doubles and triples of electrical components I been trying to figure out if that was the issue. I hope that helps let me know if you need more info to clarify.
Re: Electrical issue after swapping over to power options
The problem almost surely reflects the differences between pins 15 and 21 in the floor harness connector C556 and the driver's door harness connector for Civic years 96-97 and Civic year 98.
Re: Electrical issue after swapping over to power options
Only thing you can do is have the door panel out, get a dsm, and check for continuity to ground when the door locks itself after attempting to adjust your mirror. Once
Time to get technical.
Sounds like there's something going on with the floor harness. That link you provided gives you diagrams for all functions involving the doors. Have you looked into that?

Do you know what the color code should be for a 98? A big thanks for providing the color codes and plug.

Yes I would like to know what the colors of the wires would be for those pin outs for the 98 harness.
I believe I do understand the issue you are indicating that the issue is with those pinouts and the floor harness. So those two need to be checked to make sure they mesh with the floor harness. Am I following you correctly?
Re: Electrical issue after swapping over to power options
Wire colors to and from C556 pins 15 and 21 are shown in both diagrams in post #18.
From what I can tell, your problem can be most easily fixed by swapping the two door harness connector pins corresponding to the two floor harness connector C556 pins 15 and 21.

Thats insane to have a minor change like that happen from a 97 to a 98, was there a reason? I mean it was still obd2a, 96-98 right?
