Default Intermittent starting problem

I have a 95 accord ex 2.7, that has a problem with ecu not engaging fuel pump. The car when fuel pump is engaged starts quickly and runs great plenty of power and fast . This problem started about 2 years ago, its a daily driver and it maybe did it once a month. I replaced Main relay , a month later replaced Fuel pump, still once a month fuel pump not engaging. Only CEL code I get is 7 long flashes 70 (Automatic Transmission Malfunction w/AT Controls) and TCU (D4) code 14. I have been getting these codes since I did an engine swap 5 years ago. 1 year ago I took out the ECU and inspected it with magnifier glass and it looks perfect, but noticed when I put ECU back the fuel pump engaged instantly as soon as key is in IGN position .After 3 weeks of use I notice a delay of 2 seconds before fuel pump engages. so now when I notice the fuel pump taking longer than 2 seconds , I remove ECU from car for about an hour and reinstall ECU and fuel pump engages instantly after key turned to IGN . Ive been doing this for the last 3 months. Somebody told me to replace ECU , but ECU works perfectly after reinstall and looks perfect inside and out.

thx for the reply, I live in south florida temperature is not the problem, sometimes the problem occurs after I have been driving for a while and stop at a store, come back out and fuel pump does not engage. It has never left me stranded usually wait 15-30 mins and it starts . I just sit there turning key every 5 mins to IGN , to listen for fuel pump. Now that I disconnect CPU from car for a hour, when there is more than a 2 second lag between IGN and fuel pump i have not had a problem . But it seems that I am doing this every 3 weeks.

Was wondering if (Safe Mode ) would keep a car from starting, the car performs great, plenty of power and shifts very smooth. I change Tranny fluid every 2 years I drain the fluid and put import fluid in , drive it for about an hour empty fluid and replace with Honda's tranny fluid. I notice a big difference in the smoothness with the Honda fluid.
