Default Delayed fuel pump priming

So I just picked up a 1994 Del sol a few weeks ago. As soon as I get it running good it will be my daily. The problem I'm having is that it takes about five to seven minutes for the fuel pump to turn on after it's sat for more then a few hours.

The main relay is brand new from Honda and I also used the one from my other car AND a spare I had laying around. Definatly not the the main relay. I was thinking it was the ECU but I tried multiple ones as well.

Any idea what it could be?I have not cell lights when I jump the diagnostic wires. I'm thinking maybe the fuel pump could be gradually going bad?

Any insight would be great. Thank you.

Could be the pump. Check for 12v at the fuel pump to ensure that the wiring is good.

What do you mean by leaking cap? I've tried another ECU that I know for a fact works and still the same result/ I think I'm just going to replace the fuel pump all together.

one of the internal components of the ECU tends to age and slowly fail. As a result the fuel pump doesn't work right anymore.
If you tried another ECU that rules the ECU out.

For the price of a fuel pump it's worth having the security of knowing that its good...

Yeah your right. I was going to buy a walbro for my hatch and use the old on in the Sol. If that doesn't fix the problem then I don't know what will.
