1987 CRX
Hey everyone! Ive got a 1987 crx hf with an si swap, car runs beautifully but lately after a cold start(which is always fine), i take it for a spin and when i turn it off, maybe fill it up or go grab a bite, thet start it with a warm engine, it idles rough, rpms drop, fluctuate, and when i rev the engine a hollow sound is made, and i have to sit there and wait till the car is cold again until i can finally start it up again and leave
Ive changed the fuel filter, distributor rotor, cap, spark plugs, coolant temp sensor, it has no throttle position sensor because i took it to a honda mechanic and said he "tuned the throttle body so it doesnt need the tps". Ive cleaned the IAC and MAP sensor and throttle, no luck...im dying to solve this..please help!

Does it start at once or with difficulties? Does the engine go off? If so I would suspect faulty main relay which needs to be resoldered.
If not and it happens mainly when cold and wet weather I would suspect a bad distributor cap seal allowing moisture to create in distributor when cooling off.
I had to solve both issues on my civic and the symptoms were similar.

It starts at once every time, after a cold start it drives, but when its warm and i start it, rpms are bouncing. And yes it does die at times (mostly when i push it then let go of acceleration) it turns off then and i have to crank it up while it rolls. I doubt its distributor because i replaced those components and no luck.
