where can I locate a wiring schematic for the ecu, specifically the vtec solenoid/ switch? Getting code p1259 even after replacing the unit, did voltage checks and ohms resistance. with the engine off, key on, I can clear the code with my scanner, it acknowledges codes are cleared and immediately recheck codes and its set again without the engine even running. Im thinking its possibly the computer itself but I want to verify the wires first.

 

What car? I think that code is for the pressure sensor. Does vtec come on, then stops working and cel comes on?

its a 2003 CR-V AWD. the check engine light is on all the time. I cant get past 2,700 rpms.

 

Sounds like limp mode, the colors of the vtec solenoid SHOULD be the same at each end. I cant seem to find a good schematic for you, but swap out ecu with a known good one.. I dont think vtec solenoid can put the car in limp mode.. Is there any stored codes?
