Default NHBP paint restoration

Hey HT,
I have a lot of things i'm trying to do to my car currently, but I'm trying to get everything in order so i have a general idea of how I'm going to go about restoring heR. Wondering if you guys have just done paint restoration? Or did you guys go with a full respray? I feel like there are areas (fenders, roof, trunk, rear bumper, doors) That just need a minor paint restoration, but other area's (hood, front bumper, front lip, spoiler) definitely need to be sanded and repainted, the lip needs to be repaired for sure, chips in the hood, a couple of spiderweb looking cracks on the front bumper buy the front fender, and the spoiler has pretty bad sun damage from living in AZ most it's life. Wondering the preferred method for itr owners (or anyone with paint experience) I went to a shop that quoted me $5K for a full respray, but I'm not sure I need all that?
Thanks guys,

okay, that makes sense for sure! Thanks for the reply! :D Do you think $5k is standard for a respray? Or Any HT members knowing of good NW shops? The guy i got a quote from seemed sorta shady and like he probably just wants to do insurance job, I guess I'd be looking for someone who actually cares about itr's and wants it to look good lol

That all depends on the work. I know a shop who also charges that much BUT his work is top shelf. You need to shop around, take a look at some of there work and check for orange peal.

Find the shops that pay for dealerships or your insurance company. Any of those stand alone places will ruin something, scam you or just half *** job. Ask me how I know.

What about getting it fully polished by a detailer though?

Bro i did this! The place polished a fat peice of my paint off though! Right off my driver side mirror at the time i didn't make a big deal about it thinking I'll paint heR soon, but now i'm annoyed i wasn't more demanding about compensation. Derek's auto detail and hand carwash was the name of the place i had a bad experience at. Coop did you ever find a good place? It's hard to tell who you can trust and who you can't I need to find someone who likes Integra Type r's to begin with maybe lol

Check these guys out. When my 89 Civic was in an accident I went with Gerber. Gerber also did my trucks tailgate.

Vouch for Kansai. I was just getting ready to suggest them when I saw Coop's post. I've known Kevin (owner) for years. The shop used to be in SODO but is now located in Burien. Kevin used to import cars and parts from Japan, and back in the fast and the furious days was responsible for many of the RHD conversions in Washington State.

American Auto Body and Painting in Renton is another shop that I would recommend. A good friend of mine has used them for every project that he has had since we were in High School.

I've been trying to decide between the two for my own project. Good luck.
