Hello, I'm rather new here, and to cars in general. But I have been reading.
I have a '91 CRX Auto DPFI. Hey, but it is red!
I was wondering if I could get a review of my symptoms and diagnosis.
It's been good to me, but, currently there are a few things going on that are fairly recent.
It started with a spark plug eroding to a non-firing condition. All four have been replaced. Now, the transmission disengages if I get up past ~3500rpm. After it's been disengaged, restarting the car re-engages it. There has been some slippery, and or hard engages. After these problems started, the fluid was topped up with non-ideal gas-station "Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle ATF". The 37820-PM5-C51 ECU is flashing 16 times then repeats. Code 16 is injectors. The lower, green injector "Auxiliary Injector" shows an abnormal 8.5 ohms. The upper, main injector is a nominal 1.3 ohms.
Looks like $60 USD for a new set of injectors.
Am I on the right track, are my facts right?
Is the transmission a possible symptom of the injectors? The wide range of performance this tranny is giving me makes me suspect it's mostly fine.
