they're great for street, but for track....

Yoshi -- just the rear Mugen Bar?

Don't feel bad, I spun (only once) on like lap 3 of the first expo at BW!

Ah, ya know...Im just not that impressed with mine handling wise. They do not have the gokart type response the RE010s did. I keep the pressure 37-38ish usually or they are just too sloppy and really get on my nerves. I will say they are kickass in rain though, are quiet, and ride smoothly. Also, I have about 10k in them and they still look good for at least another 10-15k. I hope they dont last that long though

In the picture that goes before that one it looked like your tire hit dirt, at that point it doesnt matter, any performance summer tire would have done the same thing, snap oversteer. You need rally spec tires to fix that T1-S is good for touge, and im sure its good for track

Everyone I have talked to says the T1-S are a good daily driver tire, but suck for just about anything else. The only people I have heard say good things about them are people that are toyo dealers.

And I am sure someone is going to say that is what they use for the Speed Touring Car Championship....but it doesn't matter. Those tires are shaved, which makes them a little better, and mainly becuase they are a series sponsor and nobody can run anything else but that tire. I also heard that the compound was somewhat different (can take more heat) then what you can by on the street but I have yet to confirm that. But that was from someone who did a few races in the series last year and has a couple of sets.

plus their entire suspension is tuned around these tires, which I doubt anybody on the street can say they do.. regardless these are great street tires.. needs some stiffer sidewalls but great in the rain..but my next tire will most likely be the stickier and cheaper azenis..

All I know is that I went from Azenis to the T1-S . The Toyo's are decent...nothing in comparison to the Azenis though....but I got them for wet weather performance where the Toyo is and the Azenis are .

toyo doesn't have much of a sidewall.
i assume that since the 205/50/15 size is like 5lbs lighter than the azenis
in the same size.

the yokohama a520 have ALOT stiffer sidewall. I filled the a520 to 32psi and it rides pretty firm on the street. The same 32psi on the toyo's made the car fill underinflated, but it sure was more cushy w/ my firm sus

How's the A520 and T1-S compare? Those seem to be the only two decent tires in 195/55-15 besides the insanely priced RE010 which I miss dearly.

I have to say that the RE010 is the only tire that I have had which is comparable to the Azenis...and they were much better in the rain than the Azenis are....too bad they are sooo expensive. $$$$$

JN who can't wait until the summer starts again so I can go back to the Azenis...

I thought the same thing for the first 1000 miles. Then, they got much better. I usually run them 40F/38R, and that does the trick. I would imagine they would be much better with a shorter sidewall on a larger wheel.
