Default Questions about Neptune RTP

I currently have a boosted 99 EM1 that I bought and rebuilt it and I need to get it retuned. My question is I have a chipped P28 with EcTune in it now and I'm looking to get Neptune. Will Neptune work with my Ecu since it has already been chipped for the older software with burned chips or do I need another Ecu? Any info will be helpful thanks

You don't need another ecu, but you do need a Demon board and a license to use NepTune.

Do you already have a Demon? I'm not aware of a chip-based eCtune.

Both chip based ectune & neptune exist.

Neptune RTP will work with a socketed ecu that has a 4 pin header installed & j12 jumper removed.

Neptune RTP can be purchased on Phearable.net - Tuning Software - Neptune RTP System Packages

Ahh. I thought eCtune was/is only for Demon and Ostrich. I know NepTune chip based is only for dealers though.

I have certain issues with neptune that I don't with hondata.. I guess I'm just particular too hondata.. I really think it might be a hardware issue but I don't want to clutter someone else's thread with my issues.. I'm just not fond of it to be honest..

Hot start issues, afr swings, idle issues, and injector cut issues.. I probably just dont know the ins and outs of the software.. car runs great on hondata and I know how to work with that software..

Thats why I say some of these I think are a hardware issue.. I plug in hondata and it's simple, it works, none of these issues exist, and the customer service I can't say anything about cause I have never needed it.. I did email james once and he basically told me to see a tuner which didn't really help my situation.. but hey to each their own..

It's all in the settings. I don't think I've ever seen something that can't be adjusted for, short of failing parts.

ive had the hot start issue as well. its fixable. you have to play with the iat corrections on the low load setting. you may also have to adjust the column headings but you can fix it.

Adjusting the breakpoints for your particular setup goes a long way.
