Temperature gauge situation
I have a 99 Honda Accord.
During the summer, my radiator was replaced as well as a hose and everything was fine until now.
Over the weekend I was dumb enough to be part of the crowd driving in shopping centers in my community and eventually the temperature gauge rose.
When I got out of the car I checked for steam coming out which there was none and for leaks which there were none.
Today I had to go to Walmart to get something for my house when the gauge rose again while stuck in the lot. Eventually I was able to go and the gauge came down to the good area and drove the seven or eight miles to my home when I noticed the gauge rising again.
I am planning to go to the mechanic tomorrow that replaced the radiator and see if I can at least get a pressure test as I was planning to hit the road for the holidays before most.
Could use some suggestions as to what I am looking for since nothing seems to be happening.

The first thing that occurred to me is a thermostat that is frozen shut. They are easy to test and cheap to replace, but I would not buy the cheapest one you can find...pay a little more for a better one if in fact you need to replace it, and make sure you get the correct temperature setting for your engine. Honda's are also picky about air trapped in the coolant system. You could try bleeding the radiator if your engine is equipped with a bleeder valve for the coolant system.
