Default Putting a 89 b16a engine into a 99 civic

I plan on installing a obd0 b16a into my 99 civic and plan on using a p28 ecu and my obd2 engine harness. I already have a ecu obd2 to obd1 sub harness. I know that I need to put a CKF into the b16a bc it doesn't have one and will run like crap from what I research. I also know I have to re wire the water temp sensor that located on the back of the block to the thermostat housing if I wrong please let me know if I'm wrong. I will buy a vtec sub harness for the vtec I'm still reseaching to see if I can use a obd2 or obd1 b16a2/a3 dizzy. Is there anything else I will need as far as wiring for this engine?

You're running an obd1 ecu, why do you need the ckf?

I was told without the ckf the motor will run like crap. So I don't need a ckf? Since I'm using a p28 ecu

Nope, the ECU doesn't even look for it. Hopefully you're planning on running a chipped P28, though.

I mean, if anyone knows Hawaiian emissions laws, please feel free to tell OP if he's being an idiot or not.

Yeah I plan on using a chipped p28 ecu. Hawaii doesn't have emission testing on the island. Thx for the info and help.
