Default Squeaking noise while wheel rotates

I have a 2000 civic hatchback. So the other day my car went in for a bad wheel bearing and a seized caliper. Long story short car was undriveable and my rotors were done and brake pads were fully finished and i had to get a new driver front caliper. While he was ordering the parts he asked his co worker if they were stock 2000 civic brakes and it turned out it wasnt, he then went ahead and ordered the correct parts for the car. After i picked up the car a little while after i noticed a squeaking noise that isnt constant but it sounds like it happens during the rotation of the wheel and gets faster or slower during speed. It isnt a wheel bearing noise and this wheel never had this noise. Its the passenger front. Both front wheels got new pads and rotors. I was thinking if it wasnt a stock caliper and he went and put brake pads for a different caliper would it cause a clearance issue? It sounds kind of like a squeal or light scratch. The weird thing is that the wheel that makes the noise isnt hotter then the other wheel. What could it be? Im taking it back my mechanic said it might be a bent backing plate but id just like to see what else it could be so i can mention it to him tomorrow. Mind you the wheel that makes noise now never made that noise or gave me problems.

Your mechanic is probably right.

But let him check out everything to make sure it is good to go.

Sounds like the brake dust cover might be rubbing, remove it, or pull it away from the rotor.

It turned out to be a brake shim. One side was fully destroyed took the brake shim out no more noise

Why was the shim destroyed if the brakes were just serviced?

Because the left caliper was the one the was replaced. The right caliper was still in good condition. When he replaced the pads on the right side the shim just stayed in place it looked like a complete shim. Then today when we went back he removed the shim and the shim was split in half and the remaining peices were stuck to the caliper. He took the small peices off cleaned up the caliper again. Put a new shim and no more noise. I guess in the process of bolting it back up some of the peices got moved causing the noise. Just a mistake on his part but brakes work really good now and no more annoying squeaks
