I have '92 GSR. I just purchased aftermarket trunk (lift) supports. Supposedly they are direct replacements, but I noticed the ends are not the same. The hardware provided looks like I need to remove the original hardware. Also, the new support ends face the same direction, where the original support ends are at a 90 degree angle to each other.

Has anyone replaced their OE supports with these (see last pic)? Are there any issues?
