Default Del Sol/Civic Guides

(Check TL:DR to bypass my whiny wall of text)

Wassup, I'm taking apart my D16z6 in my Del Slo, and I seem to be running acrossed a common issue. I've got a Haynes and a Chilton manual on this car that I've been reading and learning from for the past few months... they seem to be missing quite a few information, or leaving out very important information. Like for the Intake Manifold it just says "Remove all vacuum hoses and electrical plugs." But gives no diagram of what plugs are what and where they are or what they do. I understand I can simply see the plugs and remove as I go, but that would be nice to have. Especially when it says "Remove the fuel rail" and that's the extent of information I get.

I understand I can do more searching throughout the book to find a little more information, but it would be nice if the directions were just simply clearer and had more notes or pictures. Does anyone know of any good sites or any good material to where this stuff is more available? Heck it's 2015, 21 years after this car is made, and I still can't find a video of someone showing how to remove the intake manifold. (Surprises me because of how many people buy performance intake manifolds)

I see some stuff on here, but the pictures were posted long ago and no longer seem to exist. :c

[TL;DR]
Have Haynes and Chiltons guides for my car, they stink. Any recommendations of where else to go for visual information on removing intake manifolds (D16z6)? (tried YouTube and the FAQs here)

Factory Service Manual. Download it. We can't post a link here, but if you Google "Civic FSM download", you can click the first link and it'll get you exactly what you need. For a D16Z6, you can use a 92-95 FSM for nearly all engine-related information.

This is useful for blowup parts pictures.

Majestic Honda auto parts.

I was going to post a link but I'm not sure if it is allowed.

Majestic is fine. They're an online dealership.

Majestic Honda - The Internet's #1 Honda Automotive Parts Store

The FSM is a rather pricey book that includes full diagnostic procedures for quite literally everything. It's what they use at dealerships when diagnosing. As such, linking to free downloads of it is against the rules, but there's nothing wrong with leading the horse to water.

Thanks guys, I'll definitely check that out.

Once I figure out what I'm really doing, I plan on doing go pro tutorials so people can have video content to help them learn. I figure that would be nice.

Not all that pricey really, it's like 40 bucks at helm.inc for the 92-95.

However it is copyrighted so not just against the rules but against copyright law which as of the last 15 years or so has been a major focus of the money holders and lots of major enforcement has happened to put a serious crimp on the idea of "free". Correction, it's 46.50 now at helminc.com

Sites are getting shut down for copyright infringement now a days.

$46.50 per book. There's the standard book, then there's the electrical book, then there's the body book. That's $150 worth of book, that you can easily get for free.

Not to sure about that.

I couldn't find the ETM, bought it for 35 bucks I think. And I haven't seen the body work book either. Will have to buy that one if I want to learn body work.

Thinking I will pay someone to do the body work after I strip it down probably.

But yeah, the whole collection is a bit more howe3ver usually most people just want the FSM as the haynes garbage for 25-39 is only a little less for a lot less book. 46.50 instead of 29.99 or 39.99 is not much for the extreme differences in the publications and not that expensive.

I don't see people being told to go get the ETM very often, it's almost always go get the FSM.

Really? The ETM is in the same place as the FSM, it's just broken down differently. And when you do weird stuff like retrofit power windows and locks, or heated seats (not that I uh, have done any of that or anything...) it's extremely useful. Hell, I've posted the related pages for the power windows for two people in the past month I think? It's not as commonly needed, but it's definitely useful more often than you'd think.
