Brake pads?
I am going to be going with Brembo cross drilled rotors all the way around my CRX and was wondering what brake pads people would recomend?? Thanks.
One other thing has anyone ever hear of Metalmasters PBR brake pads? If so are they any good??

don't get the brembo cross drilled. they are not worth it, IMO.
as for brake pads, what are you planning to do with your car?
axxis ultimates are a good street/auto-x pad.
hawk hps are a good street/auto-x pad.
hawk hp+ are a ok street/good auto-x pad. these pads dust more than the other 2 though.

and don't forget http://www.collettimotorsports.com for the rotors, at least...
Go with Brembo blanks all around for the rotors-they work just fine. As to pads-I use Performance Friction and AEM/Nissin on my cars and no problems with either of them.
BTW-if you ever have to surface rotors, which I have done, you will get a big NO from most shops if you use drilled or slotted rotors.

I just got back from Laguna Seca and I ran Brembo blanks and Axxis ultimates with Motul 600. After 40 minutes of continuous hard driving (2 20 min sessions back to back) there was almost no brake fade. This should tell you something about the quality of the products. NO street condition will ever replicate 40 minutes of hard stops.

and how do you like your AEM pads? because i hated mine. biggest pieces of **** i have EVER owned. honestly if you want a good pad for the money get hawk or axxis. your looking around 40-55 bucks for a set of pads, but well worth it to spend on something that is quality. talk to andie lynn from cobalt and see what info he gives you about brakes ( i'm not talking to the guy with the aem pads here) . he is a great guy and he helped me out alot.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. So nobody thinks its worth getting the crossed drilled the brembo solids work just fine? I guess I was looking at the looks of the cross drilled but I suppose if I am just going with pretty much stock size I guess it dont matter much. So then talk to Cobalt then so they sell rotors and pads or talk to colleti motor sports for the rotors?
Once again thanks for all your help and good to know about the brembo blanks saves me some money in the long run. Oh one other thing what makes the brembo blanks better than any other type of rotor? they resist fade better?

cobalt has the pads, colletti has the rotors. that is the best deal price wise.
the brembo rotors are just quality pieces and have more surface area than the cross drilled so they stop better...

Cobalt now has Premium Grade rotors for all Honda/Acura applications.
I have referred all of my OE-fitment rotor biz to Steve at Colletti in the past, as he has taken good care of Cobalt customers. If you live closer to Colletti, then I'd say continue to buy from them. If you're closer to Cobalt, then you can drop us a line for the rotors, keeping in mind that shipping rotors along with pads or fluid is more cost effective. On the side, shipping fluid ALONE is a losing battle.
Take care... -Andie

everyone talks about axxis, hawk, brembo etc... as being pretty good, or best bang for the buck. but no one has mentioned endless. i heard their pads are supposed to be some of the best out there. yeah they are pricey, but has anyone tried/used/have them on their ef? just out of curiosity.
