Default Intake Diameter

Exhaust piping size matters because of backpressure/ valve overlap and other reasons...
Does the Intake piping size from the filter to the throttle body matter much.

Yes. It's usually tuned by length on a dyno. Rule of thumb, longer is better.

What kinda pipe are you talking about

MOST cars like a longer intake, and the longer you make them IMO the larger the diameter should be. Especially if looking for peak power.

Of course! the more colder and more amount of air sucked in the engine the more power you will make.

Its why the AEM ITR 3" cold air intake or Injen CAI makes the most peak power on a B series compared to a smaller diamiter cai.

Also why some tuners put on a 3'' pipe with a velocity stack and make one more pull to show you how much more power was made usually just a few hp but it makes a diffrence with a bigger bore and least restriction from the filter.
