93 b16a3 jdm civic hatchback- IACV or MAP sensor?
hello, so ive had an issue the past few days with a really really high idle, when i turn it on, it goes to 4k rpm then drops to 1k going to 2500 rpm and back and forth from 1k to 2500 rpm. it idles pretty bad, and if i take out the MAP sensor, it drops down to 1k rpm and stays, but engine rides rough. ive already checked for coolaint air bubbles and none left. ive cleaned the IACV twice and it still does this. any thoughts before i go get new parts??
I'm sorry, this is the section for 92-00 Civics and Del Sols. You'll have to find a different forum for your 1955 Karmann-Ghia.

i didnt do the swap myself it came with the car, everything electrical works perfectlty. but i have an obd1 and there are only codes 5, 7, and 36 when i unhook the MAP sensor, and when i plug it back in, there are no codes besides the 36.. check engine light is on due to a code 36, which i have looked into and it seems to be traction control. that is the only code. unless it means something else, i am unsure of that

okay so i fugured out the TPS sensor, which was unplugged then i stopped getting that code when i plugged it back in. still doesnt solve the idling issue. when i first got the car it idled a little bit, but not this bad. i drained the coolant and redid the coolant system and no bubbles, cleaned throttle, and the IACV and it did not fix it either. when i unplug the MAP sensor though it goes normal, but then i plug it back in and it goes up and down again.
