98 Honda Civic ek hatch with JDM Gsr. Vehicle runs great with P72 OBD2 ecu and also a P28 chipped and socketed ecu with Crome Basemap. However when installed a S300 v3 ecu with jumper harness from Hamotorsports and a older s300 version ecu car can't rev past 2500 rpm, as if it's in a limp mode. All other ecu has ran the vehicle no problem. I've also taken the Hondata ecus and ran them on my other vehicles and they upload calibrations just fine and no limp mode. I know for sure the ecus are in perfect working condition and the issue is the car, but can't seem to get ahold of what could this possibly be.

Has anyone ever had this problem in the past, or dealing with it at the moment, any info would help. Thanks

Motor is got a skunk 2 mani, doc headers, and basic boltons. Nothing internal, or fabricated, and is a naturally aspirated. Wire harness hasn't been hacked up in any way, and the bay harness is in great shape.

 

Does it have any check engine lights? Whats the AFR and timing when this is occuring? Have you done any tuning?

 

There is no CELs before or after startup, a/f is at 14.7 up until rev limit which is at 2500rpm with load. Car will rev out at 4500 with no load.

Car idles at 850 with no problem

 

Post your calibration file so we can take a look.

 

I'll attach it as soon as I get to my desktop, however I am using the calibration that came with software. Stock JDM p72 calibration. Nothing changed or edited.

 

Maybe its time to take it to a tuner.

 

Maybe your calibration is a bit messy. Did you synchronized ignition timing?
