Icon3 Differential & Final Drive Ring Gear questions

Recently had my 92-93 GSR transmissions rebuilt with a Mugen LSD that I thought would work. Feels like it binds up and then snaps the passenger side wheel, not usual catching of plate type LSD, completely unable to drive it. (If anyone has tips on this, feel free to mention them. Haven't gotten much help from the builder.)

Right, so I did my research, it looks like the 92-93 GS-R, 90-01 LS, 99-00 SI, and 94-97 DelSol Vtec all have the same bolt pattern on the differential. Correct?
The guy who did my rebuild told me these exact words: 'It was a GSR FD. You can use any itr lsd, quaife, mfactory, w/e' I asked him which LSD do I need and which FD he had put in.

So now I have this non-working, somewhat rebuilt GSR with what I'm guessing is a 94+ GSR FD.
I also have a 92-93 LS transmission that I pulled since 3rd gear was thrashed on it. Probably a synchro, but besides the point. It has a Quaife LSD in it.

I believe the Quaife fits the 92-93 fine, but I don't believe that I'll have the proper final drive gear to use it, being an LS it's probably got 64/15=4.266 versus 66/15=4.4.

That said, in order to use the Quaife, can I use the FD Gear (just the one that attaches to the diff) from a 92-93 GSR, 99-00 SI, and 94-97 DelSol Vtec on the Quaife in my LS, and will this bolt right up to the existing final drive since both are 66? My thought process is that the primary differences are the size of the differential to fit within the housing and the bolt pattern on the differential?

Please can someone confirm, or correct what i have stated here? Thank you all in advance.

The 1992-1993 Integra uses the 109.8 ring gear with ID the same as a hydro unit.

hehe look at me go! I think I hit the nail on the head there. Thanks a lot Synchrotech! Want to move the Quaife over since I just got your carbon synchros in the GSR transmission.

Now to try and find just the 66 tooth ring gear from the b16a2... Does MFactory sell individuals by chance?

MFactory only sells FD sets not individual ring gears. It is best to change the FD as a match set for the OEM stuff as well but you can change just the ring gear as long as the correct countershaft is used with it. I have a used B16A2 match set, PM me if you are interested.

I would tend to disagree, if a very worn gear is used (still within factory limits of course) you can create a howl or accelerate wear. It's best to match gears with the same wear when possible.
