96' del Sol SI Manual trans.
USDM p28 OBDII ECU
Going to be boosted soon and I'm looking into the Hondata s300. Do i need an OBDI ecu for the Hondata? Or can I chip my OBDII and use an adapter.
No experience chipping ecu's- please be kind

As stated on Hondata's own website, it must be a OBD-1 ECU. You will need the appropriate jumper conversion harness as well to go from an OBD-2 ECU to an OBD-1 ECU.

Thank you for your response.
I read the whole Hondata site and that was what confused me. So I'm good to go as long as I have an OBDI ecu and the conversion harness, understood.

You're mistaken, the '96 del Sol SI (D16Y8) has an OBD2 P28. I'm telling you. There's a shroud of mystery whether or not P28's can be OBD2, but I assure you, I have an OBD2 P28.
