Default Automatic Transmission Fluid change

Ive got a 2012 honda accord EX-L v6 Automatic with 55,257 miles on it, and the maintenance minder went off and and its time to change the transmission fluid, when changing the fluid out do I need to change the transmission filter also or just drain and fill the new fluid?

Just drain and fill the ATF. If this is your first time, I would drain and fill 3X so you can get it all out. Maybe spread it out over 3 weekends. Or do some driving in-between the changes.

Replacing the AT filter is not necessary IMO when considering the life of the car. And also at that mileage. AT filter is a bit difficult in the level of difficulty. Base on my guess of where you are in terms of DIY, I would not change the filter.
