Thanks,
AG

Can't change the filter, since there's no pan to drop. I recommend drain and refilling your ATF every 15k-20k miles. Also, only use Honda ATF, because of the Z1 additive it contains.
If you've never changed your ATF or aren't sure how many miles are on the current fluid, I'd suggest you do a triple flush. Just drain and refill your ATF 3-4 times, making sure to drive a little between each change.

Yes, just remove the drain bolt and let the old fluid drain out. Put back on the bolt. Then you need to pull out the AT dipstick which is on the passenger side behid the Intake arm (it has a yellow top). Get a long narrow funnel that fits into the hole. Put in 3 qts of Honda ATF, then put back in the dipstick. Start the car and from D1 up to D4, cycle through the gears. Turn off the engine, and pull the dipstick to check the fluid level.

How many of you guys out there flush your ATF ??
How important is it? Does it simply help with smoother shifting?
Thanks,
AG

i've only flushed once when i bought the car. it's very important because if you don't change it, there will be a gunk of metal on da drain plug. it kind of smooth shifting.
