Default any specific reason for knock at 7000 rpm?

the last 2 setups ive had in my eg have had activity on the knock sensor at 7000+ rpm. one setup was moderate compression all motor lsvtec, the other a 84.5x89mm boost motor. the tunes were not based off one another in any way. the tune on the boost motor worked with no knock last year. it was re ringed over the summer and has appropriate compression and leakdown. this motor is currently in the car

ive tried varying the timing by a few degrees as well as running richer or leaner. all pretty much yielded the same result. just wondering if there was something else i may be missing over or if it is just in the tune

little bit of black specs no silver. I can see where the carbon flaked off the top of the piston through the plug hole. once it starts knocking I let off as quickly as I can. color change is on the bend but its different shades of gold no real blue. my egt also reads quite cold im waiting for a new fitting to exyrnd the probe into the runner more see if it changes anything

Generally if you remove a large amount of timing, add fuel and it still knocks then its not detonation but most likely mechanical noise. Its very important to baseline your knock sensor NA or very low boost with a known safe tune.

Are you sure your fuel pump/filter/lines can provide adequate flow and pressure, or could you be maxing it out at WOT and high revs?

high combustion temp. try a colder plug, larger gap, or lower thermostat.
